Physical therapy can restore or increase strength, range of motion, flexibility, coordination and endurance. It can also reduce pain. Physical therapy for seniors is often critical to retaining or regaining the ability and coordination to do everyday tasks, improve circulation and muscle tone, and stimulate mind and spirit.
The Rehab Care staff, our contracted rehabilitation company, offers services based on physician recommendations. Although needs vary for each resident, the end goal remains the same for all – optimal functioning at the highest level possible. From simple stretches and chair exercises to concentrated conditioning for muscle retention and gait improvement, our Rehab Care staff establishes a plan of care that helps each resident achieve and maintain the highest level of independence possible. Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy are also available through Rehab Care. A wide range of specific exercises and tasks help residents improve gross and fine motor skills, as well as swallowing and communication. All evaluation and subsequent billing are handled directly with Rehab Care.
