Welcome to our Home!
Our Sisters and mission partners are committed to creating a joy-filled environment for residents and their families; a true home where residents feel secure, respected, and loved!
Inspired by the charism of the Sisters of St. Francis of the Martyr St. George, our mission is to foster a beautiful Home where Christ’s mercy and love motivate every aspect of life including clinical care, community, and spiritual life, so that our Residents may live fully and prepare peacefully for their final journey to the Father.
Our Vision
We believe life should be lived fully.
From the day our residents arrive, we prioritize their ability to flourish. With a peaceful environment designed to reassure and assist, our residents’ adjustment from independence to greater dependency on others is a transition of patience and care.
Our residents enjoy bright spacious rooms, personalized with their own furniture and furnishings. Even as residents may move from independence to greater dependency on others, they can remain in their original room, served by the staff they have come to know. This continuity extends to our staff, 40% of whom have worked at the Home for 10 or more years. Our nursing staff is dedicated to maintaining a healthy and pleasant environment for all.
You don’t have to feel alone-
let’s talk about it together.
Oftentimes, it can be difficult to make that first initial contact. No worries though, we have Sisters and mission partners ready to listen because we know that everyone experiences this transition differently, and that each conversation is one of encountering the way Christ is working in all our lives.

“Mother of Good Counsel Home is one of the most treasured institutions in the Archdiocese of St. Louis, because the Sisters have manifested to the residents here that they are most treasured in the eyes of God, and that they have the first title to our loving care.”
-Cardinal Raymond Burke
Mom was so happy at Mother of Good Counsel Home. She would tell us often how lucky she felt to live there and to receive the type of care she was getting. She loved being able to attend daily Mass, see the sisters often and be surrounded by so much love, care and concern. We felt blessed and at ease knowing she was in the best of places and that she was well taken care of.
