Where Life Flourishes

We are a Catholic skilled nursing facility serving the St. Louis community. Since 1932, we’ve been dedicated to fostering a beautiful Home for the residents God sends us.

Welcome to our Home!

Our Sisters and Mission Partners are committed to creating a joy-filled environment for residents and their families — a true Home where residents feel secure, respected, and loved!

Inspired by the charism of the Sisters of St. Francis of the Martyr St. George, our mission is to foster a beautiful Home where Christ’s mercy and love motivate every aspect of life including clinical care, community, and spiritual life, so that our residents may live fully and prepare peacefully for their final journey to the Father.

Our Vision

We believe life should be lived fully.

A resident with a Mission Partner

From the day our residents arrive, we prioritize their ability to flourish. With a peaceful environment designed to reassure and assist, our residents’ adjustment from independence to greater dependency on others is a transition of patience and care.

Our residents enjoy bright spacious rooms, personalized with their own furniture and furnishings. Even if residents begin to grow more dependent, they can remain in their original room, so their surroundings can remain consistent and familiar. They will continue to be served by the Mission Partners they have come to know, 40% of whom have worked at the Home for 10 or more years. Our nursing staff is dedicated to maintaining a healthy and pleasant environment for all.

You don’t have to feel alone – let’s talk about it together.

It can be difficult to reach out for help. Not to worry, though, we have Sisters and Mission Partners ready to listen! We know that everyone experiences this transition differently, but rest assured that we’re committed to understanding the needs that make your transition unique.

Filling out this form is not a commitment — our goal is to give you the counsel and resources you need to make the right choice for you and your loved one.

"For the past three years, you have cared for my sister with so much kindness and good cheer. You made a cruel disease so much kinder and gentler through your faith-inspired and loving service. At home, I could rest easy knowing Ginny was in your hands."

- Joan

"Mom was so happy at Mother of Good Counsel Home. She would tell us often how lucky she felt to live there and to receive the type of care she was getting. She loved being able to attend daily Mass, see the sisters often and be surrounded by so much love, care and concern. We felt blessed and at ease knowing she was in the best of places and that she was well taken care of."

- The Patton Family

"Mother of Good Counsel Home is one of the most treasured institutions in the Archdiocese of St. Louis, because the Sisters have manifested to the residents here that they are most treasured in the eyes of God, and that they have the first title to our loving care."

- Cardinal Raymond Burke

"Mother of Good Counsel Home cared for my mother-in-law in 2010. Each time my wife visited her mom she came home at peace, able to be a wife, a mother and a daughter because she knew that her mom was in good hands. I saw first hand the care that my mother-in-law received and it was far better than my mom received at a different facility years later. Once you find this place you won't look any where else for care for your loved one."
